Are Toronto Condo Developers Ignoring Security in Favour of Fancy Amenities?
In an article in the National Post, contributor Frank Fourchalk wonders whether condo developers are ignoring condo security in favour of “enticing features” such as hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, etc.
“Where on the brag sheet does it mention locks with restricted key-ways to prevent key duplication? Or ‘completed alarm system with two years free monitoring’?” he asks. Frank recognizes that safety of a condo building must be amongst the first things a prospective buyer demands from a builder.
What do you think? if buyers simply assume the safety of a condo, and instead show more care for those enticing amenities, would builders slowly go away from caring for security of their residences?
