Mariah Carey selling $5.5 million Bahamas mansion
The island fantasy is over.
Grammy-winning songstress Mariah Carey and her husband, “America’s Got Talent” host Nick Cannon are putting their multi-million dollar getaway on the market.
The 4,000 square foot property, names “Sea Lily” is located on Windermere Island, and features three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a swimming pool and ocean views.
“Windermere is a private island, popular with a handful of well-known owners who have their homes here,” the property listing says.
“Sea Lily is right on the ocean front and has superb views from every room of the house. It is just a few steps from the villa to the beach in front.”
According to the listing, the villa has four separate buildings and two garages, where there are plenty of rooms for guests to unwind.
“The main living area has a lounge area, kitchen and master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The guest rooms are in seperate buildings adjacent to the main living area. Each has a marble bathroom and wet bar.”
The couple married at the property in a private ceremony in May of 2008.
While the pricey price tag may be a deterrent to many people looking for a tropical escape, perhaps the celeb factor will be enough motivation.
Carey has won five Grammy Awards and sold more than 200 million albums worldwide. Maybe the new owner can convince her to leave some of her awards behind.
