Things to see in Burlington: The sound of music festival comes alive as Canada’s largest free music festival. Every year, thousands of people come out in June to enjoy the many musical stages, mini carnivals, food and craft booths that take over Burlington’s downtown and waterfront area. The Burlington Waterfront offers lovely views of Lake Ontario, in particular, Spencer Smith Park gives beautiful views of the sunrise. Overall, Burlington has over 2 dozen parks, almost all offering multi-use paths, playgrounds, courts and picnic areas.
